Windwall
Conceived by the experiential design team at Interior Architects and fabricated by the artisans at FKB, this installation showcases 240 rotating aluminum pins. It was my privilege to collaborate with the graphic designer, Ali Tan Ucer, in creating the programming for this interactive installation. The wall effortlessly cycles through four captivating modes:
Wind Data • Interactive Play • Time Display. • Brand Patterns
Located outside the executive suite, this installation offers a dynamic visual experience throughout the day.
Wind Data
Based off of wind patterns in Malvern, Pennsylvania
Interactive
Two cameras covering the field view and movement feeds information to the pins (that’s me!)
Time Display
Live clock displaying the time using a custom typeface designed to fit the 30x8 grid of the moving pins
Brand Patterns
Using the existing brand patterns and abstracting as inspiration for motion. I created a motion graphic in after effects and fed it into Touch Designer.
